I'm on a mission!!! Being obese all of my adult life kept me from doing alot of things that other people my age normally do. My greatest dream is to become a mother. Other than the obvious reasons for losing weight..(being healthy) I want to get pregnant!! I had a big wake up call when my insurance denied bariatric surgery, I knew I had to do something before it was too late. Nearing 400 pounds (started at 366) Yes I say 400 lbs because it's THAT serious, I decided to turn my life around... I went to my doctor and cried and just let it all out... I didn't want to live like that anymore. For the first time in over 7 years, I've began to lose weight... I eat healthy, I exercise EVERYDAY!!!! I'm down almost 30 pounds in 6 weeks and I'm feeling soooooo good! I never knew how good this would feel until now, I should have done this many years ago!! I'm on a mission and I'm not stopping, this is me now, no longer nearly 400 lbs, almost 300 and I gonna keep working hard until I have what I've always wanted a precious child in my arms which is what makes all of this worth every drop of sweat and hard work.

workut suggestions
Check your local community center. Many of them have public pools and swimming burns crazy calories in as little as 30 minutes a day! If not or if you don't know how to swim, try Leslie Sansone 15 minute mile walking workout.
Good luck!

zumba
I've done zumba, it burns crazy calories!! A group of girls from work started doing it 2 days a week. Lately there seems to be lots of excuses coming from these girls and we have not done it in about 2 weeks... I can't wait to start back up, I'm thinking about buying the Wii to do it on that if we don't start back up soon! But yes it is very hard but energizing. When you're done with it, it feels so good to know you've burned close to a thousand calories for a 1 hour workout!! Good luck and I hope you enjoy it also!

Exercise high
Has anyone ever experienced over their time dieting or changing their lifestyle and exercising consistently on a daily basis, you find yourself thinking about the next time you are able to workout? I've actually started to see eating as secondary, meaning, before I would only think about eating and what I was gonna eat next... now it's vice versa, I think about exercising and what I can do to burn calories, then I think about what I eat, I guess what I'm saying is eating is no longer the focus of my day!! My husband thinks I'm getting obsessed. Has that ever happened to anyone and does that feeling ever go away?

Accuracy
I'm starting to question the accuracy of the calendar and logging in calories and exercise. Unless I'm doing something wrong, I can't explain it... After entering all my food and exercise I show a definite weekly defecit of calories, I expected to lose at least 3 pounds but I only lost .4, not even a pound this week!! I am as accurate as possible when logging all my information, someone please give me some input, feel free to look at my calendar too.

On a mission!!
Thank you all for your comments, I'm really enjoying this website it's keeping me motivated! I have wondered about my calorie intake... I was never told how many calories I need but I did kinda read a little about not having enough and the starvation mode but I don't get it.. to me it just seems more is bad. I just don't get hungry, I'm taking Phentermine and that really suppresess my hunger. I have been gradually trying to up my calories, today is an example but I end up feeling guilty. I guess I need to do a little research and talk to my doctor about what I need. As for that "awakening" that you mention, yes I do feel good about it, I just hope that I can continue with this lifestyle and finally achieve what I want.. it's gonna take a long long time!
