You know, the options available for low carb plans is severely limited when it comes to the... omg, I'm running late, have to go, but I'm starving and have to eat in the car.

I was running late this morning and ran off without breakfast because I had an out of town meeting. By the time the meeting is over, my stomach is feeling icky because I haven't eaten yet so I think.. stop by the grocery store instead of a fast food place to get something to eat on the way to my next appointment, which starts in less than an hour and is 45 minutes away. There's lots of snack foods, sandwiches, etc available for eating on the go, but I'm trying to cut down on the carbs so I really don't want something sweet or overloaded with bread.

I'd love a salad but seriously, who can drive and eat a salad at the same time? I can't, that's for sure. So what do I do? I grab one of the ready made sandwiches without mayo or mustard, just meat, bread, cheese, and lettuce and eat it on my way to my next appointment. Not only have I eaten major carbs with the sub roll the sandwich is on, but about 10 minutes before reaching my destination, my stomach starts feeling a different kind of icky, feeling heavy and like I've over eaten (although I only ate half of what I would eat just a month ago).

Note to self: From now on, grab some healthy snack foods from the fridge at home, that I can take on the go when I have out of town appointments.
