I am 65 and retired. I have been married 42 years and have definitely changed. I was 107 in my wedding day, I am now 196 but was up to 240. I have 3 children and 5 grandchildren. I have type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure & high cholesterol. I also have the start of macular degeneration in both eyes. I enjoy crafts and have recently started to take tai chi. Unfortunately right now that is the extent of my exercise so I have to get started again. I also like to travel. We have 1 dog & 1 cat. I also enjoy reading and doing sudoko and logic puzzles. I hope to make myself healthier by losing weight and getting more active so I can enjoy my family and my years of retirement.

below calories
Thanks, Rockstar. That helps to know. I thought the calorie count was high & I was feeling guilty about not getting there but liked the # on the scale today so happy that it is working.

I am supposed to eat the same # of calories however I also cannot eat that right now. Mind you if I was eating what I ate before I would have no problem however when I got on the scales this morning I was down so I am not going to complain. Did not weigh in officially today. I think as long as you are feeling good and not hungry, then you should be good. The only thing that you have to watch is that if you go too low, then you may lower your metabolism so it may be harder to actually lose weight if this happens. Good luck to you.
