I am a 30-something. That explains why this weight loss attempt is getting harder and harder...
I am a Registered Nurse of 12 years. I am a nursing and allied health instructor. I know diet and nutrition and how a bad diet and bad foods affect all parts of the body. I teach healthy lifestyle habits almost daily. Yet I don't consistently heed my own teaching!
I became "overweight" and "obese" according to BMI after children. 2 C-sections and not taking care of myself have gotten me here. I was always weight-conscious and conservative, embarassed of not being the thin one in the group. Now I have higher cholesterol than I would like, I have extra cushion in places I would rather not and I still struggle with insecurities re: weight. I am very strong and confident in other areas of life, just not in this one!
So... I'm tired of it. I'm looking for help and support and accountability. Let's do this thing!
Goal: Lose 50 lbs.
Mini Goal #1: Lose 5 lbs by February 20th
Mini Goal #2: Lose another 5 lbs by March 10th
Mini Goal #3: Lose another 5 lbs by March 30th
Mini Goal #4: Lose another 5 lbs by April 30th
Mini Goal #5: Lose another 5 lbs by May 30th
Mini Goal #6: 30lbs down by July 4th
Mini Goal #7: Lose 20 lbs left by Christmas
