Sooooo, the only way to resist eating the food at the fair is not to go to the fair at all! Duly noted for next year...ughhh

So I've finally began to sync my mind with my body! I've cut down my portions and nearly eliminated the unhealthy snacking. I've also been getting up early 5 days a week to go for a brisk walk. I'd love to become a runner, but I think that's a lofty and far off goal. I'm down only 4 pounds in a month, but I guess that's a start.

Well it's been more than 2 years since I last recorded a weigh in and I'm an embarrassing 16 pounds heavier and 25 pounds away from my target weight.
A lot has happened since I last signed in. I got married in Dec 2010. I got down to 174 and did it the right way (low-carb & exercise). Shortly after the wedding, my husband started voicing how "thin" I was and always encouraging me to eat more. Cooking for 3 instead of 2 was a HUGE shift for me and once my step-son came to live with us in June 2012, I now had to keep food in the house for a grown man
and
2 teenage boys. Cooking for 4 was definitely the last straw.
I read a buddy's journal today and it inspired me to at least weigh myself... Sooooo here I am ready to give this another heartfelt try.
