Hi everyone I am a 44 year old mother of one married 11 years and have struggled with weight all my life. My highest weight was 337 a little over a year ago. My first large goal is 200 and I try to work on those 10 pounds at a time. I don’t consider myself on a diet but learning healthier way to live. In 2005 I was diagnosed diabetic and realized I was killing myself with the thing I thought I loved most!! My A1C was 13 and my sugar was so high they admitted me on the spot (it was well over 500). I thank God that I am still here. I heard someone say when you know better, you do better so here I am just looking to keep motivated and moving forward. Glad to be here and welcome advice and encouragement. If anyone is in Houston, Texas, I would love to have a workout buddy. I have joined a couple of challenges and look forward to dropping the rest of these pounds!!

How Often Do you weigh yourself?
Been at this a long time everyday on the scale is too much. Once a week is enough. I know when I am way off and when I am on point. I dont need the scale for that. Everything that goes in my mouth counts for me or against me! This journey can get tiring and frustrating but I will never give up. Fall down, make mistakes get back on it. Try not to grow weary in doing well. Im coming out of a downfall from 230 to 250 not happy but very aware and ready to take charge again.

The Pizza Diet - does it actually work?
I make a wonderful Chicken Pizza! Wheat tortilla, 4 oz ground skinless chicken, 1/4 cup (broccoli, squash, spinach, zucchini, cauliflower, onion, baby bella's) and a little feta cheese...less than 10g of fat, fewer than 400 calories.

How Often Do you weigh yourself?
I go back and forth with this. I have been on this journey a while and I was weighing daily then twice a week then once a week, even though my scale may not reflect my efforts all the time, the inches do. So....I remind myself its not all about the numbers. When you have been over 300 pounds I have to measure my success in many other ways.

Does anyone think that they will ever 'go off' their diet?
I think following my plan is a life time deal because I ate so bad, Doubt there is no way to eat that way and maintain a healthy weight. Even when I am not on eating on program I still read labels and am very aware that I am doing WRONG! Rolling Eyes So, I am working to make this way of eating a life style change!! Very Happy
