I am 27 years old, come from a family of eaters, and married into a family of eaters! I LOVE food! I am the person who while eating breakfast is asking about lunch. Both high cholesterol and high blood pressure (that need to be controlled by medication) run in my family, and my doctor says I'm on my way there as well.

4 years ago my now husband and I lost a bunch of weight for our wedding, but I have put it all back on, and I haven't been able to find the motivation to get it, and the rest of the weight I gained at college, to be gone for good. I need to change my relationship with food, and I hope this is the place!

Can you do Fat Smash if you're Pregnant?
I'm with everyone else - definitely talk to your doctor! With that said, I think you would be OK, with some modifications. You need more protein, carbs, and milk - so you certainly can't do strict interpretations of stages 1 or even 2. But, you need lots of fruits and veggies, which is basically the hallmark of FatSmash. So I think you could do a FatSmash-esque diet, with modifications. Plus, "experts" say it's best to eat 5-6 small meals a day to help control morning sickness/heart burn/and all the other "fun" parts of being pregnant - we're already doing that! Also, like everyone else said, your portions will need to increase. You need about 300 extra calories then what it takes you to maintain your current weight.

As with anything - nothing without Doctor's orders!
