Have had issues with weight probably all my life if I am honest, but really just in the past 10 years since moving from England to America. With huge portion sizes, a happy content marriage and changing careers from restaurants to sitting down in front of a computer all day long, the weight just kept piling on.
I have tried Atkins, Weight Watchers and the South Beach Diet. I have had varied levels of success with all of them but just not things I could stick to. Plus, going on a diet seems like a temporary thing, and I need something that is a lifestyle change.
The biggest issue I have always had is being an emotional eater. I am sure many people can relate to that! I have worked on that, and feel I have really made a conscious lifestyle change for the better. I no longer reach for ice cream or chocolate when feeling stressed, upset or angry, and I am learning to eat smaller portions and make better meal choices. Feeling good about it!
