I am a project manager and spend a lot of time in the office and on a computer. I have almost always kept 15-20 lbs of excess weight on and was able to drop this 3 years ago by eating a healthy diet, minimizing fat and bicycling 4-5 days a week (divorce helped the weight loss as well). As I got back into an unhealthy and inactive routine, I have unceremoniously moved from 165 lbs back up to 187 lbs. I have 3 young children and they are always active and I have found myself suggesting more sedentary things for us to do. After only 1 week back following a healthy diet and regular exercise, I already find that I have more energy and want to run around with the kids. Also, I quit smoking 2 weeks ago and want to use diet & exercise as a "replacement therapy". Otherwise I'll take another weight spike of 10-15 lbs. (circa 1995 - 201lbs).
