Over the year, on several occasions, my body has determined that it was time to change - and it never asked permission!
Like, during my Freshman year in college, I went from 125 - 175 lbs. without even walking past the cafeteria. Then, 40 years later, once I had "rounded-out" at 185 lbs., my metabolic clock turned on again and my weight climbed to 207 lbs.
Though I am the oldest of 4 boys, I have always been "the runt of the litter." My siblings now range from 275 lbs. to somewhere around 400 lbs. Obesity is in my genes. I know it. I need to kick some discipline into my life and shed those excess pounds before they become permanent baggage.
My initial plan? Counting calories. Controlling portions. Regular exercise.
The outcome? Well, it worked "kinda," but results were way-too-slow coming. So, I heard a friend rcommend the Isagenix approach to weight loss. With my doctor's concurrence, I started the program.
Incredible! Two and a half months later, I'm weighing in consistently below 180 pounds. Can I maintain this level? Let's see.
Will it work? Stay tuned.

UPDATE 11/17
It is hard to maintain that level of weight. I struggle to follow the Isagenix program (but that slice of pizza is soooo inviting). It is time to re-commit and get back under control!
