performance: losing 0.4 lb a week

I am 51 and started on my weight loss journey in 2002. I lost 65 pounds on Atkins and lost focus to continue losing. I did keep the weight off although I bounced up and down a bit over the past 8 years. I am now back to lose the rest. I am on the Candida diet version of Atkins.

That means my diet is mostly veggies, lean meats and EVOO and coconut oil. No sweeteners, no processed foods, no grains, no dairy no fruit.

I feel terrific, have great bloodwork, and am losing about a pound a week. I am also a member of ADBB.

for tish -- try cutting out Linda's dairy heavy recipes and focusing on meat and veg for awhile. I found that would usually kickastart me again

Group of One?
I am 52 and have lost 100 totalas of this week. 67 in the past two years so it can be done. I am a slow loser and still have 40 to go but there is hope.

I am on Atkins and have the further restrictions of the Candida diet. That was the missing puzzle piece to finally get my weight losses moving.

Low carb is my lifetime WOE now and the less processed food I eat the better I lose.

Does coconut oil help you stay in ketosis?
Also, if you have an overgrowth of Candida (which many of us former carb lovers do) then coconut oil helps your weight loss along because it is an anti-fungal and helps kill the Candida (notorious for stopping your weight loss). The coconut oil contains caprylic acid which is often sold as an anti candida supplement.
