hi..i,m 48 years old.. only 1,58 cm. tall ,have been struggling with my weight ever since i was a teenager..my weight has gone from 55 kilos to 86 kilos (birth of my second child..(was on bed rest after 4 months due to complications placouta)..lost it all in 5 months , was steady at 58-61 kilos for 14 years..then i lost my job at the age of 46..slowly but surely, gained 14 kilos in 2 years. found this site as i was loosing weight on my own..i started at 76 kilos in march and have decided that i will not risk my health again at my age..couldnt sleep, snored, had back problems , had pain in my upper shoulders and arms, was irratable, depressed, didnt want to leave the house..until i was fed up with myself and decided to due something about it..started walking ,slowly then jogging, used public outdoor gym equipment in my neighbourhood..every thing on a budget..finaly, i can fit into my clothes again after 2 1/2 years.i know that i will never be 'thin'..i have what you call a stocky ..eastern european built ..but i will be the best i can be before i hit 50..

Who else is concerned about having loose skin?
i agree 100% with you!!!!if i had the money i would definitely get a boob job..not playboy bunny kind..just back to my natural size..belly i dont care..the surgey for stomach lift is very painfuland the scar reaches from hip to hip..my friend had it and she went through hell..she still gained weight again..i agree you must wait for at least a year or two to do surgery after you loose the weight..give time for your body to maintain and not to gain any weight back..which is the hardest part ..to maintain..lost more weight from last time i posted here(went down to 55.5 kgs)now im back to 60 kgs..it just proves that if you slack off you can gain the weight in a second! it takes forever to loose and you can gain pounds back in an instant..that sucks ..

Losing the last 10 pounds...again!
i know exactly the feeling,,you atlest gained 10 pounds in a year,,i gained 10 pounds (4 kilos) in 2 1/2 months !!because i stopped working out ..no time due to my job..work 6 days a week..snacked every nite on crunchy carbs..started again working out early morning, still havent control my binging at nite for crucny stuff..i know thats the problem ..im sure you will get to your goal again,,i wish i could control myself at nite ..thats what doing the damage..

hi im 5ft 2 and just a little younger than you (4Cool ..i also got sick with myself when i hit 172 lbs..started doing something about it begining of march..have lost 44-45 pounds until now..its a battle but you have to stay dedicated to get yourself healthy..if i can do it at my age..so can you..no trainer, no specific diet..just eating healthier smaller portions..and EXERCISE..DO WHAT EVER YOU CAN..slowly you will increase your stamina and you will feel better mentally and phisically..

Who else is concerned about having loose skin?
unfortunately..i have loose skin on my breast and some on by belly(what used to be breast and belly)..i've lost 20 kilos (44-45 pounds)..started 6.5 months ago..i exercised at least 5 days a week.jogging ,walking eliptical,swimming and weight training for upper body..still couldnt avoid it..my breasts have deflated and what left is not pretty..im also 48 years old..this isnt the first time ive lost this amount of weight..when i gave birth to my son, i was even heavier..weight came off even quicker than now and didnt have sagging skin..just a couple of strecth marks on my belly(he was huge 9.3 pounds (4.2 kilos at birth)im only 5,2. i was 33 then.so it must be the age..even though im doing my best to exercise to help loose weight and tone up..my skin has not snapped back..also my lower butt has excess skin..ive started squats for the past month, hoping this will help..my breast are a lost cause..only surgery can fix them..thats the truth..some women are lucky and have good genetics ..im not one of them..

Food addicts!
hi, I just joined this site a couple of days ago..I have been struggling with my weight ever since I was a teenager, for every emotional challenge Ive had, I would console myself by eating. It didnt matter what I was eating, just as long I was stuffing my face with food..never in front of my family,(kids,husband)..always alone, when no one was home or asleep..This is how I delt with depression or anxiety..after lossing my job..(unemployed for last 18 months) I gained 15 kilos..I stared dieting and working out gradually for the past 3 months..I lost 11 kilos and now I need to loose the rest..for the first time I am serious about getting back into shape..even at my age (4Cool ..hope this site can keep me on track..
