Food was always by best friend. It was with me when I was sad, happy, stressed, etc. When my father, who has always been heavy, had his first stroke in 2001; I really started thinking about my health. Of course it took a few years for me to start making life changes and veiwing food differently.
I have lost a lot of weight (170), I still want to lose 20 more pounds. As I was loosing the weight, I would stop dieting just to see if I could maintain the new weight. I have been able to maintain the weight loss for three years!
I have the energy now to keep up with my children and 8 grandchildren. I feel better than I have in my life and have a great support system and friends!
