Hello everyone! I am Danielle and I am 24 years old. Last July 2009 I got married and since then have put on probably 10-15 lbs. I am not pleased with the way I look and would like to lose a little weight and tone in the process. I am a healthy eater, I just have to focus on staying active. I work a desk job, and we have volunteers that love to bring in the baked goods and homemade meals, which I love, but my body is not handling the food well. I would like to be athletic in shape, I do not want to be the "big boned" girl anymore. I used to be athletic, and now I have turned into the "big boned" girl. I know I can do I just need others who have the same focus and drive I do. I hope to meet new people and learn from this website! The count down begins at 20 lbs!

Weight Training Help
I am looking for workouts to do at a gym, I am more motivated when I go elsewhere to workout. I appreciate the responses already, but can I get some specific workouts/reps to do?

Portion Control
I have been keeping track of what I’ve been eating to count calories and actually see how much I eat or how little I eat. I do it on fatsecret and my own personal journal I carry in my wallet but any way… I am trying to pay more attention to portion control. So, I have been putting two cups of cereal and two cups of milk for breakfast, never really measuring them out. Well this morning for the first time I actually measured my one serving, 1 cup of cereal and it was actually a lot! Same with my milk! All week I was actually eating one serving of cereal instead of the two I was thinking. Why did I feel like one cup of cereal just wasn’t enough and looked like two? I am just blow away by how I have no sense of portion control, I was way off!
Anyone have advice on how to measure portions? I do know the meat is supposed to be about the size of a deck of cards, correct me if I am wrong!!
