In my early 20's, after having 2 children...I was startled to see myself in a home video. I hadn't realized that my weight had gotten so out of control. I finally got up enough courage to weigh myself. 260!!!
I couldn't believe that I was so heavy. I certainly didn't FEEL that big. I started walking regularly, and drinking chicken broth between meals when I felt hunger. I lost 30 pounds, and stayed at 230 for more than a year. Finally I decided to get serious about this weight loss thing, and dove in head first. I walked everywhere, did excercises on my living room floor, and tried to eat any indulgent foods in the morning hours instead of the evening. Eventually, after about a year, my weight was 160 !!! Now, 15 years later, my weight has creeped back up to 180. It devastated me to see that number again. So....here I am, trying to get back down to 160.
