Seriously dodged a bullet this morning when it comes to gain. No difference in weight despite last night's dinner. I didn't log it as I wasn't sure I could do it justice. I had no idea of all the ingredients.

I don't want to sound overly critical of someone else's cooking, and the fact that they invited us over to celebrate a birthday was lovely, but it would have been better if we'd just done dinner at home and joined them afterwards. The pulled pork was great, but I have no idea what was in the sauce -- and there was sauce everywhere. They served it with sweet cornbread, dinner rolls (I guess so we could make pulled-pork sandwiches) and boiled-potato salad. In other words, a huge carb-bomb. I kept my portions small, so I think that helped.

Of course, the ice cream cake was a must, and while they weren't slender slices, at least they weren't overly huge. The ice cream sat like a rock in my stomach until bedtime.

I went right back to eating LC this morning, with the breakfast I've been eating all week. Just like at work, I'll be switching from my regular "tetley tea with cream and sweetener" after the next cup to loose-leaf tea. I generally don't add cream & splenda to loose leaf unless it's a black tea, and I have plenty of other blends to choose from.

We'll see when the husbeast rouses himself. He somehow wound up awake for over 24 hours yesterday, and thought he might be coming down with a cold or flu. He's enjoying a long lie-in today, and hopefully he will wake up feeling fine. Otherwise, my plans for the day are spinning (wool, not bicycle) and cleaning. I'd like to be able to mop soon. It's been melty outside! ;)

Hooray for the scale moving down again!

Trying to combat cravings with LC solutions. I didn't grow up with much of a sense of the savoury - my Mum cooks fairly blandly, and she was taught to cook by folks with major sweet-tooths. As a result, I tend to want more sweet foods than anything. LC is helping me curb those sweet cravings and explore the savoury. Even so, I do love the occasional treat.

So I used a LC cheesecake recipe that should have made 12 servings and put them into the cupcake tin. Made more than 12 servings in the tin, so that means each tiny cheesecake is probably a little less carby than the actual serving size. Even so, it's still not something to eat to excess!

Starting to feel clothing get a little looser. I will be VERY happy when my xxl shirts from Teefury and Shirtpunch are somewhat looser on me. Already starting to feel a little more room in the legs of my jeans. Hooray!

Tonight is a friend's birthday party. We have been invited for supper. Pulled pork is on the menu. I think I will bring some veggies with dip so that I stay away from the chips and other likely-to-be-carby snacks. I'm also not much of a drinker, so that should work in my benefit as well. Will have to bring some diet pop as they love their sugary drinks :)

Back to where I was before the weekend of eating poorly!. It only took 4 days... (sigh). Ah well. Keep moving forward. It makes me feel good that tomorrow or the next day I will wake up and be away from the 290's, hopefully for good. Working towards my last "set weight" of 260 (I zapped from about 265 to 290 really quickly during a stressful time at work a couple of years ago, then packed on another 10 pounds when I moved departments and had to deal with the dietary idiocy of others). I will be SO HAPPY to get down around 215-230, which is where I was when the husbeast and I met. I have a bunch of clothes that are a little dated, but should be wearable at that size. There's a top that my sister-in-law handed down to me a few years ago that's really attractive that I would love to wear again.

Also trying to keep myself moving forward with the thought that as I lose weight, it will be easier to get on the bike this summer. Really looking forward to riding around on my pretty Pashley Princess! It was fun last year, but should be even better this year, without as much weight to haul up the inclines :D
