I'm a vegan who lost a LOT of weight on Weight Watchers.

I'm trying to lose the last 11 pounds and to maintain the loss with the Dukan Diet.

This will be a modified Dukan, since I don't eat meat or dairy!

I'm looking forward to seeing how it works, and if it doesn't... oh, well, back to Weight Watchers!

vegan... is that just a nick name? how can you possibly do Dukan being Vegan?!?

I haven't started yet, I'm still waiting for my book to arrive in the mail. But my plan is to modify it to suit the vegan diet.

That's why I'm skipping the "attack" phase and going to go straight to "cruise". Also, I plan to add beans to the protein list in order to do Dukan as a vegan.

I know it's not really The Dukan Diet that I will be following, but it will be the closest thing to it without meat or dairy.

Very Happy

Vegetarian South Beach diet?
I'm adding beans to the protein days, it's the only way that I think a vegan can survive on Dukan! Beans have carbs, and are discouraged on the "protein days" on Dukan.

That's pretty much the only modification that I'm considering now!

I like Dukan better than Atkins for me only because of the low-fat aspect of Dukan.

Vegetarian South Beach diet?
I'm starting the Dukan Diet soon, with modifications. It will be hard to be low-carb as a vegan, but I think it would be easier as a vegetarian, since you still eat eggs and dairy.

I'm listening in to see what others say...

Attack
I'm new to Dukan myself, but I'm planning to skip the "attack" phase and go straight to phase 2. I can't imagine eating protein only for more than one day! *listening in for advice*
