Here I go again. Another exciting episode in the return of the excellent dieting adventure. I did it once, and now I'm back for another special appearance to lose not 10, 20, but 25-30 lb's of disgust with myself. Disgust with being worn down, neglected self. Just lost my dead-end job Dec. 2016 from a company closure, but it needed to happen. I need to earn a living but I'm a single mom and I need my kid's who are teenagers now, and I realize just how much I haven't been present because of work. I missed many of their birthday's because of that job. My own father died after my last journey from fatsecret. My home needs a diet plan too. It's seriously time take advantage of a total life change for something positive to happen and not get trapped again in the shackles of drudgery.

Getting discouraged
I've been there many times. Sometimes you just have to face the fact that your human, owe up to it and realize it might be a minor set back, and get back in the saddle.

Garcinia Cambogia

I've struggled so much trying to transition into a high-protein/low-carb lifestyle. I've heard about garcinia cambogia and am in the process of researching this supplement as we speak. The most consistent information I've seen (comparing many sites/forums) suggests that it does help with appetite/craving control. I'd like to ask for any other feedback from people who have tried the supplement.

Out of curiosity I saw some Green Coffee Bean Extract-the as seen on TV kind, sold at the Dollar Tree also saw the same exact bottles at Ross and other store for about $17. I try to eat healthy most of the time and thought I would change nothing, but just try these supplements and see if I benefit anything. Well after a few weeks...nothing. Glad I only spent a $1. I really believe most of your successes is in your food and supplements don't have the same characteristics prepared for nutrition. Went I first started consuming more dairy and fruits/veggies vitamin C I could tell the texture and appearance of my skin changed. No special pills. Animals feed the best food show it in their body.

So I'm poor....
I personally think it is pretty close to the same thing if you use the non fat or even low fat. The carbs seem to change in the culturing process. I have made kefir and if you let it set for too long the only thing you will see is whey. It's like the bacterium eats away at it until there is nothing. And I have made yogurt were I experimented with the cooling process. It seems to me that if you rapidly cool it at the setting the process the texture is thinner. Another time I waited till it seemed almost there and let it cool down in the water bath and it turn more thick and custard like. And don't worry I think I've made some of the best batches from plain store bought, I just look at the date to see how old it is.Smile

Yes, I'm poor, too. Tonight I cooked chicken hearts in butter, lemon juice and garlic. It cost $1.39 for more than 1-1/2 lbs of chicken hearts. I love them, and organ meats are so good for us. I also buy chicken legs and boil them, take the meat off to use in other things, and then continue to boil the bones for about 8 hours to make bone broth for use in other things or to drink. I add a package of gelatin to a cup of broth to add shine and strength to my hair, but it also helps with bone and fingernails to strengthen them. Lot of valuable minerals when you make bone broth from scratch. I actually cook the bones long enough so I can eat them. Bones that have been cooked until they are completely tender and edible are very high in minerals, just the kind that your bones need. Make sure they are organic bones from organic chicken. Same if you use beef or other animals.

Broth is a good appetite suppressor. Sometimes when I don't feel like cooking much I get my favorite Progresso soup and add broth to eat and it seems to satisfy my appetite for more and I don't feel so guilty.

Has anyone tried making home made yogurt? I learned when I decided to go on this diet because the smoothies I have to make for it. It is so easy and much cheaper than buying tons from the store. All you need is non fat yogurt/or regular, milk and 5-7 hours. This is best done at night or on warm days. So much better for you and you control what goes in it. There are recipes on the internet. Give it a try. Psss! greek yogurt is nothing more than strained yogurt nothing extra special, just drain off lots of the whey.
