Friday night is my "anything goes" night. I eat well all day and save myself some calories for the night, but I don't count. Last night it was a lovely pinot grigiot, grilled steak, some bread and butter, and the little lava cakes from Costco. Surprisingly, no vegetables, LOL! (In my defense I had a big salad for lunch.) And... I'm down a couple more ounces. One thing that has changed for me is how much I eat. It's not the quantity, it's the quality. A small piece of really well-cooked steak; some very fresh French bread; those little lava cakes... all good. I'm even using a smaller wine glass, LOL! Train the brain... eat well, eat small. No need to binge. I'm chewing slower and taking more time with my food, too, which helps get me to a feeling of satiety earlier.
Today I'll be doing a lot of walking around at a couple of fairs and I hope to burn off another ounce or two (if I can resist the kettle corn).

Feeling good today. It's Friday! I have an unexpected meet and greet with a headhunter for a new job. I wasn't looking, but this opportunity presented itself so we'll see where it goes. I went shopping for something professional to wear last night and spent 2 hours in Macy's wandering around. I'm not used to my body, yet. I picked up a bunch of size 12 pants (the last time I bought pants they were 16's) and all the 12s swam on me. I was able to get into an 8 in one designer! However, I guess I'm kind of between sizes because nothing really fit me well and I don't have time to get to the tailor. I'll make what I have work. I did buy a dress for a wedding I'm going to later this month and it was exciting to go down 2 sizes :) I don't really see myself the way I am now, plus I'm really loose and flabby as I start to tone -- I want to cover up.

I feel like I've been this weight, or close to it, for a million years. I'm losing this weight ounce by ounce... slooooooowly. It's my own fault -- I'm not moving very much right now due to knee pain. I need some good sit-down exercises! And a magic genie to remove all this gut fat. Ugh.

I've been eating non-stop all day long and I'm still under 1400 calories. Lately I've felt hungry and I think that I wasn't eating the "right" foods that fill me up. Today I've eaten a bunch of 100 calorie or less foods and then ate whatever I wanted at dinner and it seems to have worked. I'm losing, so I think I needed to get my body to understand that I wasn't going to starve it :) I certainly have enough fat reserves left to keep myself going for awhile!
A little exercise, too -- walked the dog and mopped the kitchen floor. Now to play video games.

I can't believe I'm only up 5 ounces. I ate terribly all weekend, did almost no exercise, and only drank caffeinated drinks. Today I feel bloated and my face is dry and peeling from the lack of hydration. I have only myself to blame.
It's a new week. Time to start again.
