Well, it's Soup-er Saturday, and I did make the Creamy Broccoli & Chicken Soup that I wrote about yesterday. I garnished it with some cherrywood smoked bacon and, as expected, it turned out very tasty. I only made enough for two servings, and could have eaten both in one sitting, but I'm saving the rest to eat for lunch tomorrow. Sometimes I amaze myself! :-) My only regret in making this today, is that I didn't make twice as much so I could be eating off of it for a few days.

It's Frittata Friday again, and since I saved (froze) some of my ingredients from the Za! Frittata! I made, a few weeks ago; it's time to make one again. It's a good thing I write my recipes down, for future use, otherwise I might not remember how I did it; and that one's worth remembering. :-)
Tomorrow being Soup-er Saturday, I already have an idea of what I'll be making, and it's something I haven't made in a long time. I recently bought a new food processor, and what better way to break it in than with a Cream of Broccoli Soup with Chicken and a bit of smoky applewood smoked bacon as a garnish. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Have a great weekend everyone! :-)

Based on my recent loss, and the fact that I think the RTD shakes contributed to the stall, I experienced in the past few weeks, I'm going to try an experiment. So far I haven't had one of those shakes, all week long. I'm going to stay away from them until after my next weigh in, just to see if I lose any weight during that period. If I do, I'll stay away from them for another week to see what happens. If I continue to lose weight, just by eating naturally low carb foods then I'll have a decision to make, as those shakes do satisfy my sweet tooth, and keep me from really going off the rails into the kinds of foods that are super rich in carbs. It'll be interesting to see how things turn out. And for those that are going to suggest I eat fruit to satisfy my sweet tooth, don't; read the first two sentences of my profile, and you'll know why. :-)

Hallelujah!!! The stall has broken! I'm down another 3 pounds, which is the first drop in a few weeks. I knew, if I stayed focused, it would eventually begin to come off again. I made a couple of minor changes; switching back to green tea, in the morning, getting away from the ham steaks, I'd been eating with breakfast, and cutting back on the Ready to Drink Atkins and other protein shakes, opting for real food; hopefully that was the difference. Whatever it was, I'm glad I'm down another three pounds. :-)

This has been a busy weekend for me; so busy that I didn't have time to make my frittata, on Friday, nor my soup yesterday. However, I did put together a chicken zoodle soup today, and it's pretty tasty, if I do say so myself.
