I'm trying to lose quite a bit of weight that built up steadily starting in fourth grade. The last years of high school I got it to stop increasing, now it's time to get it decreasing! No matter how slowly that happens :P I try to keep a positive attitude - as long as I don't gain a pound for more than four weeks in a row, everything is fine. And steady is just as good as going down!
Other than my weight-loss goals, I'm an only child that loves to read and write. The library is my favorite place to walk to. Being published has been my dream for the longest time.
I also like knitting, crocheting, and attempting to sew things. I like writing lyrics and singing even though I know I'm not particularly good at either.
My favorite tip, if you sit at a desk a lot, is to stand. You burn more calories, it's healthier, and if you set your desk up for it you can do everything the same as sitting! This is what I've been doing for a while and it's actually really easy to stick with (though of course there should be exercise as well occasionally, but standing and not getting your heart rate up is better than doing the same sitting!).
