I'm trying to lose quite a bit of weight that built up steadily starting in fourth grade. The last years of high school I got it to stop increasing, now it's time to get it decreasing! No matter how slowly that happens :P I try to keep a positive attitude - steady is just as good as losing!
Other than my weight-loss goals, I'm an only child that loves to read and write. The library is my favorite place to walk to. Being published has been my dream for the longest time.
I also like knitting, crocheting, and attempting to sew things. I like writing lyrics and singing even though I know I'm not particularly good at either.
I've been at this just over two years now and learned a lot about my body - including the fact that I lose more by exercising everyday and eating up to 1600 a day than when I was eating 1200 or less and exercising when I felt like it. Not to mention I was super hungry!
For a long time I discounted workouts with jumping jacks because I'm in an apartment - well there's modifications for that! Except I do them in a weird way that makes me look a bit like a flailing ice skater, but it's better than not doing them at all and standing there while the workout goes on.
Every day is different and sometimes you just need a break. Sometimes you feel like you can lift a truck. Play it by ear and do what feels good - something I learned from yoga videos on youtube.
