And this is why 64% of Americans are overweight...
First, they eat too much packaged, processed foods and drink to much sugar-infused beverages. Then, they eat out too much. Take a look at this article. I was absolutely shocked at what it was saying about restaurants these days. http://eating.health.com/2010/01/13/diet-foods-not-low-cal/

what did you control yourself from eating today that was sooo bad for you???
For todays New Year's Eve party, I just know I'm gonna have to hold back. But meanwhile... I ate only half my leftover veggie pizza, resisted another ounce of steaks, and totally ignored the leftover cookies! Whew Smile

What's You New Year's Resolution for 2011?
I have tons of New Year's Resolutions. They are pretty detailed and all mappped out on my laptop. So, as not to bore you, I will provide the basics:
Health: Lose at least 10 lbs by the end of February by exercising 5+ times a week for 35-60 min, and counting my calories. However, I won't give up if I splurge or don't exercise enough.
Social: Make new friends, travel a little, get together with family and friends more often, find a great guy Smile
Finances: I already spend the bare minimum on food, clothes, etc. so I want to keep it that way.
School: Study harder for my core classes and discover what I want to major in by the end of the school year.
Additional goals include: drink more water, get involved in more social activities such as volunteering (I volunteer at the soup kitchen twice a month), exercise more and maybe even sign up for a 5K!
Well, everyone's goals sound awesome and I hope we all complete our goals by the next New Year!

6 Foods that are making Americans Fat: The truth about your weight gain.
That is.... absolutely disgusting. I read these yesterday, and was completely grossed out by the food. Thank gosh I don't eat at the Cheesecake Factory, and never will, hopefully. People will never understand why they are obese until they look at the calories they consume at restaurants, and all the processed goodies they consume as well.

Hmmm...well, I made some chocolate chip cookies and oatmeal raisin cookies a couple of days ago because I had a party at the dorm. Though they were gobbled up, I still have a batch left and I am super tempted to eat them but.. I didnt! Also, I skipped the second slice of pizza so two small victories for moi! Smile
