I am near goal and trying to come back down just 10 more... but holding for the most part...I do not give in I only eat my Low Carb... I am on Vacation right now so not sure how things are going..... But I CAN SAY IT IS WORTH IT TO STAY ON COARSE..

welcome.... just remember it is CARBS... that keep you hungry... truly just count the carbs... don't fuss with the calories.. and eat all the meat, eggs, some cheese , and fish and low carb veggies you want to feel full.....give it time and it will come on down.. but one thing high carby can undo all you have done and you get to start over again.. ask me how I know that...done it for a long time till it soaked in........I keep hard boiled eggs in the fridge,,, I make some fat bombs for my treat .. my fav is the choc peanut butter... and coconut oil.. you can find the recipe on line .Fat is your friend... keep you from being hungry too..
.I buy my eggs 10 doz at a time with a good sale.. yes,,, I love my eggs fixed all ways... over the years...yes, I do live totally LOW CARB... never hungry eat what I want and as much as I want at all times......Fruit is a no no it is a killer to low carb..

good am to you...first off..... please leave off any fruits for now... they turn to sugar in the body asap.. same as white table sugar does...
fat is your friend it will keep you from getting hungry.. ... get that in your head right now.... get a Dr Atkins book ..any one of them... at a thrift store.. and read it... meat,bacon, sausage.. eggs, I keep hard boiled eggs in the fridge at all times.. and I been at this a LONG TIME.. they are my go to snack.. (I buy 10 doz at a time keep in my extra fridge) yep I use a lot of eggs....2-3 for breakfast cooked in bacon grease.. every breads... so far I have not found one I want to spend all my carbs on at one shot...nope not me.... coconut oil... I use in my bullet proof coffee....and cooking... some cheese .fish.. lots of salads... watch the dressings.. they are loaded... ranch or oil and vinegar is great.. lots of low carb veggies...fill up .sugar free jello is good not study about the calories...just the carbs.... try to hold it to about 20-25 a day.. read all labels... for servings.. carbs...----- any fiber will give net carbs..
lots of water... use a sweetner you like... powdered splenda has 24 carbs per cup so keep that in mind... it is sneaky but it is in there... and go for just walks... start slow.. and the weight will fall off... keep the bowels moving.. cheese will stop me up in a flash.. but all is different.. there is a group...lowcarbandlovinit... on yahoo that posts lots of recipes... they have been a huge help to me go join and get the recipes.. and ask ???s they love it..
good luck this can be done... first few days are the hardest.. just remember that and eat when your body tell you to..just make sure it is not processed and very low carb.. no counting really soon as you know the veggies that are low.. fruit is a no no no.... drink your water........measure yourself at time the scales does not move.. but the body is playing catchup and the inches are changing... find a carb counter and look up the foods you like and check them out... sure helps

do not let it slip back up at any point,,, cause it is even harder to get off if you do..
been there done that.........I have taken off 215 pounds and yes,, sir it does feel good

Butter substitute
i only use bacon grease and coconut oil.........have for a long time now.... both good stuff..........and i agree on the canola .........take care

making progress!
doing good but i can tell you after years of doing low carb high fat... i would not have time to count the calories... i only count the carbs ... and stay about 25 a day... good luck......
