I have been sick for a month. I have never been so sick for so long. During that time I lost 25lbs because I could barely eat. I have been feeling better this past week and eating more. I gained back 5lbs.
Since I am feeling better I decided I need to get on track with my eating. While being sick was a crappy way to lose weight I don't want to regain it. Just before getting sick I had decided to do Nutrisystem. I had only been on it 3 days when I got sick. So, I have almost a month of food, but even though I know it had nothing to with my getting sick, there is just a mental block on eating it. So, I have decided to do a 1500 calorie diet for now.
Today was day 1 and it went well.

Today's weight is 357.8 which is great. As I am doing this I am working to figure out how to incorporate losing weight and having a "normal" life.
Normal means one where I make informed choices/decisions related to what I eat. I have decided I am going to allow myself one day per month where I can indulge and eat what I want. This month will be Thanksgiving. It doesn't mean a binge of gourging myself that day, but merely allowing myself to make choices about food not strictly based on how many carbs are in them.
December will be Christmas Eve at my Aunt's house. January will be my Birthday. The other months may just be a night I decide to have a dinner out and want dessert or bread.
Other times I eat out will be with my net carb goal in mind when making choices. Today I will be having lunch out. I am going to this place that has great chef salads. Perfect Atkins lunch.

Well, I am down a pound today 358.6 which is great. I would really like to get out of the 350's. I won't really feel like I am "losing" weight until I get below 330. Right now I am losing weight I let myself regain after working hard to lose.
My first big goal is to hit 299. I haven't been below 300 since 2000. After that I want to make to 250 and then I'll see.
