I am a 36 year old male who has been overweight for the past 7 years. I've never liked exercising but never ate enough to go over 190 lbs. Everything seemed to be fine. 7 years ago life happened and things changed. My job was from home and I sat for hours. I also ate out all the time. My metabolism finally just said "F*** it!" and I quickly went from 180 to 250. The extra weight is killing me. My body just can't handle it. I now have sleep apnea and ache all the time. So, I finally decided that it was time to take it off. I have been dieting for 2 months now and have taken off about 15 lbs.

Need a little motivation...
I've lost 20lbs and have not kicked the junk/fastfood habit. Probably never will. As long as you are eating smaller amounts, sticking to your calories, you will be fine. Walking is great and all you have to do is put one foot in front of the other. No fancy routines there. If your going to try fitness vids/games just start with moving your arms then add your legs in later. I know with some dance games i will just follow along with arm movements sometimes. I don't know if this helps but for what it's worth...

Motivation Problems :/
I still eat fastfood, soda and junk. I just eat less of it now. I've found it to be easier to lose weight by eating what you love in small amounts than just doing away with all of it. Of course adding some fruits and veggies to the mix doesnt hurt. Find exercise that you love doing. Go for a walk. Dance. Swim. Bike rides. It doesnt have to be boring and repetative. You want to look back on this day months/years from now and say "thats when i took control of my life and changed it for the better."
