I decided that I am on a mission to look into and try as many different diets as possible. I know it may not be the way to lose the most weight the fastest, but I really want to discover the truth. I'm wondering if having this goal in mind rather than just trying to lose the pounds will help keep me motivated and engaged. It's awakened the scientist in me (who has been asleep for quite some time at this point). It will make the "failures" be more of a learning experience and be just as valuable (data wise) as success. I plan to dedicate this year into investigating different diets. If I still feel this burning to learn and research this, then I might do exercise programs next year. Sometimes doing something for the sake of learning something new makes it more worth it than for more trivial reasons.

Feeling like I'm retaining a lot of water today. I hope it goes away soon. Just feel so bloated. Not a good time of the month for this.

Going to start measuring my waist, arms, and thighs on a weekly basis. I have been doing a little weight training here and there, so it is possible my little weight increase was at least partially due to muscle gain (and probably water retention). My pants don't fit all that much different, if at all, so maybe I did add some muscle. I'm grateful for the encouraging comments people have left for me. I have at least some of my motivation back!

Nothing like failing a diet to make yourself feel like a complete failure. I'm starting to feel stupid for thinking I'd ever get to be anything but a fat little piggy. This diet thing was a horrible mistake. Now I can't even look at myself in the mirror without hating myself. I sure am the biggest loser, but not for weight. I just suck as a human being.

No matter what I do, I keep gaining weight!!!! I've been eating less and less and I keep trying to exercise more and more, but I feel so weak, I can barely bring myself to stand up in the shower! It can't be normal to be this tired, even while on a diet. I wish there was something out there to help poor people who don't want to be fat (other than forced starvation, I mean). I'm almost out of steam.
