I am an associate pastor in Aurora Missouri. I have been married to my beautiful bride since Feb 1998 and have 2 amazing daughters.
I know that God's will for us is to be healthy physically, just as much as it is His will that we be healthy spiritually; this is why I have determined to lose weight and get into shape.
I started working on my health March of 2014 at 315 lbs. My goal is to be 225 lbs.

Anyone intermittent fasting?
I have never heard of intermittent fasting, but I fast once a week for two reasons.
One, spiritually, it's what I need.
Two, there is a lot of medical support to the physical benefits of a weekly fast. The greatest benefit being that 85% of the calories we consume are used simply to operate our digestive system. So, when your digestive system isn't being used, your body and use all that energy to heal and restore itself. Almost like a hard reset on your computer.

Feeling awful in Atkins. Day 10 Getting low blood sugar :(
I too deal with blood sugar issues. I also tried atkins and really felt like most of my weight loss was just water and muscle. So I checked out why Chris Powell is so successful with clients in his show. And the carb cycling has been hugely successful for me. Been dieting for about 6 months now and am down 60 lbs. Also, you get to choose between several carb cycling plans to fit your goals and body. Certainly worth checking out. Be blessed! I know there is not one diet/ life change plan that works for everyone, but want to see you succeed in the goals God has has given you vision for.

Different cals burned for same thing?
There are several factors that come into play, but probably the most common, is simply...
You are getting smaller, so you are actually doing less strain on yourself. Also, as you get in shape your body simply doesn't have to work as hard to do the same things it use to.
This is why it is so important that you ramp up the intensity of your workout as you lose more weight.
