I am a wife and mother of two young boys. I have struggled with my weight all my life. I was pretty athletic in my 20's and early 30's so was able to keep my weight in control.

Though it was a struggle to get the weight off after the birth of my first child at 35, i did and got down to 147 by his 2nd birthday. By the birth of my second child, at 39, life exploded and job and city changed twice in to years. I don't loose weight with stress (damn it!) and so I haven't gotten back my "feel good weight". My youngest is almost 3, life has stabilized a bit for now, so it is time to get this weight off!

I am super excited to be a part of the FS community :) Let's do this!!!

lifting weights on a low carb ketogenic diet
From my understanding, your body will utilize glycogen stores, ketones and fat when fasted only if you have been on a ketogenic diet for a period of time. I personally like a little carb after my kick boxing class as I have found it aids in my recovery and I just feel better (vs being grouchy while my body processes fat for gluconeogenesis from ketones). This is just my personal experience though, maybe the shake will be enough.
Good Luck!

Atkins and foot/leg cramps
I like taking a magnesium supplement. Calm is what it's called and it is a powder that you mix with water. The raspberry citrus is the best and it has no carbs.
