I live in a small Devon village with my other half, our daughter and grand-daughter who is nearly 13 (help!!) We also have a barking-mad border collie who loves people, except when they come through the front door! Once they're inside, she's fine with them!

My main love (apart from the family) is singing, of the choral and church choir variety. However, I have been known to sing in a soul/bluesy fashion too, but that's usually in the shower!

I also love reading, visiting gardens, the Lake District (and Cumbria generally)

We also have a son who is a police officer in London and he is married and has a daughter of nearly eight plus two step children.

So basically, that's me, or at least, all you're going to be told at this moment!!

Anybody from the UK?
Thanks to all of you for replying, it's much appreciated. I'll take a gander at the UK members group and go from there. Good luck to everybody on the same journey - maybe IF the weather gets a bit warmer we'll all find it a it easier. I love salads of all kinds, but when it's cold, wet and windy outside they're not quite so appealing, are they?

Anybody from the UK?
I've just joined and have read several comments in various forums, but you all seem to be in the US of A! Is there anybody out there from the UK I could be buddies with? Please don't take offense, I've nothing at all against all you American lovlies - it's just the terminology which is getting to me! Rolling Eyes Cups as a measurement for one thing - we don't use these over here. Also, there are so many references to types or makes of food that we don't have here, so it would make life a little easier for me to discuss familiar things! BTW I've just started the 5:2 diet (is this the same as the F2?)

My daughter has lost 4lbs in a week and already feels a lot less bloated and her tum is already flatter! It might actually help those who have lost quite a lot of weight but still have a tum to get rid of.
