Atkins bars
Susan, I got the caramel peanut bars. I would not describe them as sweet. Like dark chocolate and peanuts. Very satisfying and they don't make me crave more.

Audrey, I LOVE the idea of freezing the bars. I used to do that with junk food but didn't think of it. It takes longer to eat! I hate pumkin and am embarassed to say I have no idea what rhubarb is. And I never heard of stevia, but finding something to put whipped cream on sounds great. I'm in the same bind tonight - need 5 ncs. My salad was so big I couldn't eat the salmon with dinner. I'm stuffed.

Mountain Mama, I thought you were Mountain Man until I saw your profile - sorry, the a was cut off!

OK so I did have to eat one when they were brought to me - yum. Now I'll have to edit the nutrition section. I feel like I'm cheating, so I'll have to go on trust with you guys! 3 carbs it is. Now I need 5 more for the night that I was going to get from avacado, but it went bad.

Ending Induction
I didn't know we couldn't have shakes on induction. I thought I got it from the menu plan for phase 1 on atkins website. I also didn't know we had to limit dressing to 3 servings. I've been eating 1/4 cup daily as dip with veggies, so I guess I better cut back. Thanks.

Susan, I only looked at a couple of your food logs - have you been recording butter, oil, spices, etc and how you prepared food? I was surprised at how much carbs are in spices. I went to use Vanilla extract in my MIM this morning and read on the label it contains corn syrup. I don't know if it's permittable as it's such a small amount, but I put it back - can't handle corn syrup at all - I would be craving sugar stuff and needing a nap!

18 minus 5 equals 13 not 3, which is why afourn51 asked! I had the same question and emailed tech support on the atkins sight. I got a similar reply as what mountain_man said, but I didn't comprehend it (they didn't give me a bottom line answer as to which is correct when counting for this diet).

Coincidentaly I JUST sent my husband to wal-mart to get a box cause I need something quick today and now I'm paranoid. I have no sugar cravings and want to keep it that way. I'd rather under-eat today than have something set me off - I'm going to wait to see if there are any responses from those who have already eaten then.

Where do you get Soy Flour?
It was at Wal-Mart - thanks (I haven't used it yet, but will be trying some new recipes this week-end.)

How did you get that scale, slider thingy under your post? I want one! CONGRATS on being so close to your goal. I have 83 more pounds to go. So happy to see so many other achieving this.

Who is Bob Harper? I definately will be passing that quote on to some I know and will get a kick out of it, but wanna know who he is first!
