Hello Journal!! Really happy: I did a simulation of my race to come last night : Finished the 16kms!!! My feet were getting hot! But I survived...1h50, which is still sloooooooooowwww....but we'll get there!!! 18 days to the race...

Hello Journal! Spring is here!!! Great weather, sunny, cool... just amazing for running outdoors!!! I went for an hour long run in the park yesterday morning (it is a large park, with many large alleys, gentle hills, small trails, ponds, bridges, etc), and I eventually ran for 1h15 minutes. Only a busy agenda from lunch onwards that got me to turn on my heels and go home, coz I was feeling great!!! Completed a bit over 11kms (but with a few hills). I'll do another early long run Sat or Sunday morning, and try to do 1h30 - 14 kms?...
My 10 miles race is in exactly four weeks. Will I be ready? Not too sure. The past 3 weeks, I haven't been able to keep up with the drastic online running plan from Asics (cold, coughing,...); but I got to say that the plan is tailored for a half-marathon, and my race is 6kms shorter, so. Gotta do 7-8 kms runs at faster pace on the treadmill twice during the week, and one long run outdoors (10-14kms) at weekends. I'll maintain this till 5 or 6 days before the race.
My goal for the race would be to complete the 16kms in 1h45, or slightly under.

Good morning Journal! We are back on top form for running! I managed to do 10kms last night, in about 1h, without feeling strained. It had been tough the past 15 days, what with a bad flu and cold. I kept running, but not pushing hard, and less than my scheduled running plan. Now I feel quite behind where I should be for the race training (7 weeks to go!!), stress! Back in the plan!
Weight wise, all good!

Journal! Long time no write he. Well, where are we? Weight goal: achieved. I am now even slightly under. Yep. Metabolism working so well now, I keep losing weight. Ha ha; how cynical he? So I have slowed down on the heavy exercise, and eased the diet a bit. Trying to have an average deficit of no more than 500 cals. I do spinning much less than before (although I miss the buzz), and I train for my run in April - main focus.
Otherwise, all is good!

Good morning Journal! Having a "full / filling " diet today: eating really well, as I am planning a long run tonight, no less than one hour but at tempo. Meaning I'll push myself at a less comfortable running pace, and sustain for one hour. And as this will be my longest run of the week, I'll finish my gym session with a spinning session.
Still not getting on the scales!
