I am a 37 yo mom of 2. I think I am hitting a point in my life where my yo yo dieting is not going to help me maintain my 30 pound overweight status, because I recently gained 12 pounds. I haven't changed much about my diet, just gained weight. It's time to make a change.

Getting back on!
Saturday is a bad day to start anything, but I think I finally feel completely ready for a change.

I have 2 birthday parties this weekend, but I even feel ready to take those on and overcome!!

You: on a diets snack ideas???
I agree with this snack idea. It has been the best one for me, to mix up a little kashi crunch with almonds, dried cherries and raisins. Also the 'Endangered Species' dark chocolate with mint bars are delicious! A piece of that is good to help with chocolate cravings.
Giant Eagle also sells (in the healthfood isle) a Pistachio crunch, which is basically pistachios held together by honey. It is delicious, and I think pretty much all natural.

Is following South Beach costly?
I have been on SB before and it is my diet of choice. I don't think it's really any more expensive than WW. Especially after you initially stock up on some of the pricier stuff like nuts. Go for it!

Jammin June Menues!
Maybe this is what I need to kick myself into gear.

I wanted to join WW so that I could do the menus again and be more accountable. But I will try to post my menus on here starting this weekend!

Thanks for the inspiration!
