So I keep going over my Atkins recommended 15-1800 cals per day. I tried really hard yesterday, but no luck. I was still eating 2000 cals. Maybe it's because of my exercising? Not sure but I have still been losing so I am happy no matter. Slow but steady. I am going to wait til Sunday to measure. Heres to hoping that I lose some inches. I squeezed, and I mean squeezed into my size 8 chino capri pants yesterday. It was really uncomfortable. I wanted a reminder of where I want to be. When I started this on April 30th I could barely wiggle them past my butt. Forget buttoning them, let alone wear them for the day. As uncomfortable as I was It was a good feeling to put them on.

Just moving into OWL. Going to take some time to get used to all of my choices and to see what works and what doesn't. Swam laps yesterday so I am a little sore. Love the fact that I can go swimming with the weather this hot. Yesterday was 96 degrees and today it was 67 degrees at 6am. I think summer arrived early in northern CA.

Last three days have been really busy. Cleaned out our entire garage, lifting, sorting and moving the stuff down to my mom's cause she was having a garage sale. Between helping her and dealing with my stuff from start to finish I wasn't good about eating consistently. I know I am not supposed to go for long periods of time with little to no food. It was also the first time my ketostix were really dark and I was really drinking the water so I am guessing I was really using fat. I was NOT hungry almost the entire weekend. That was a great feeling until I started eating and then I was aware of how spacey I had been.
No weight loss, but I lost an inch of of the hips. I also realized that I measured my waist where I have the least amount of weight to lose and that I probably should measure lower where my stomach pooch is. I am going to do that tonight.
I went to Mother's Day brunch and did well eating eggs and sausage and coffee. Hard to pass up a mimosa but not that hard.
Got to go shopping and bought some new clothes. 12petite and a size medium top at Banana Republic for my mother's day gift from the hubby. I was worried about buying clothes when I want to lose weight so I haven't taken the tags off.
Waiting for the weight to start dropping. My doctor said this was a great way to lose weight and that my goals are healthy and realistic. I think so as well. Off for now. Check in later.

Shocked to find myself down another pound today. :) So happy. I see progress and feel hopeful. Finally got the NANY book and I am reading it. I was trying to use the website and what I could remember from doing Atkins 11 years ago and it doesn't cut it. Reading the book to find out how much protein and this and that helps tremendously. I haven't "screwed up". This is a lifestyle.
