I am working on being strong. I had been sick, had surgery, I recovered on the couch for a year, I was thin and weak but now I am better and I am taking the next step.
I finished lifting weights yesterday at the YMCA and I took a verse paper out of the basket and this is what it said, "who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness--by whose stripes you were healed." 1 Peter 2:24

I loved that confirmation that I am healed and I can accomplish becoming the healthy strong woman God meant me to be.

too upset with my weight
I have been that way for the last three weeks but I measured myself before I started and I have lost inches all over. Check your measurements, you are probably gaining muscle and losing fat, remember muscle weighs more than fat.

Water
Thanks for the input.
- I did add it to my food list but I thought there would be somewhere that would total my daily water intake.
- I don't have a filter system but I boil my tap water to take out the chlorine, I am guilty of buying spring water by the gallon... we always recycle too!

Water
How much water do you drink everyday? What kind? Filtered, tap, spring, bottled?
I was surprised there isn't a place to keep track of your water intake anywhere here... unless I am missing it.

Giving up the scale?
I usually don't weigh myself I just gauge how my clothing fits. I did join a fitness challenge at the YMCA and for the last three weeks that I have worked out hard and lifted heave I have gained weight according to the scale but according to my jeans and my measuring tape I have lost inches.
I am usually happy to jump on a scale every few months.
I have a friend who weighs every morning, if she hasn't lost anything she will increase her water intake that day.

Greetings: New to fatsecret
Hi... I just joined today... I can relate about the food issues... I love food, I am always thinking about what I will cook or create next... but over the years I have learned to take one bite instead of eat a bunch of cake... I make sure everything I put in my mouth is high quality and has the best taste possible... I used to mindlessly eat dull tasting food, big bags of crappy chips... now I will make a small bag of yummy flavorful chips last me more than the time it takes me to eat them as fast as I can. I have learned to eat slowly and enjoy every bite, to separate and identify each flavor and savor it. I still have those moments where nothing will "fill" me up... then I eat plain popcorn and drink water until that feeling ends... I am glad I found this site, I am looking forward to learning from everyone.
