More than a bit sore today - terrible blisters that I've had for about a week and a half now - seem to be getting worse...

Did my 5k 'Fun Run' on Sunday - first run in the great outdoors - was hard work, but seemed to go much faster than the 5k in the gym. Think I will be doing that again - hopefully to the point that I will be able to do at least one run each Sunday - or thereabouts. Am going to try to do my house to my Dad's this Sunday.

Haven't been terribly good this week. I think that the worst thing I did was treat myself on Sunday with a chinese takeaway. Then I was ravenous and food-mad all day Monday. I got back on it yesterday, however did munch down the remnants of the Monday night binge before I went to the gym last night.

But the 5k was a bit easier, actually ran 2 MILES without stopping - only walked the equivalent of about 3 laps - which means I ran 11 laps! I'm pleased, sore but pleased. When I started this from scratch, I never thought I was going to be able to do it. Once I get to 5k, I'll go a bit faster. Once I can maintain the speed, I'll increase the distance! All good. I'm wishing that the progress was faster, but I'm going to have to increase what I eat and what I do to be able to get there! Maybe have to start thinking about going early in the morning...uh oh...

So, 3lbs down - finally, it seems to be moving. Don't get me wrong though - I am starting to feel different - although mostly I'm too shattered at the moment to feel any real change. Not sure whether its the past few months catching up on me, or the change in diet, or the fact that I haven't had caffeen for a week now (I did slip up and have a diet coke on Monday - I just didn't think until it was gone!).

Bad day today though. Jeez - what a morning! I managed to sit on my straightening irons - 200 degrees of burnt bottom - I've got two welts on my left ass cheek! And then I got to work and found out that I had a hole in my trousers with leg showing through! Sewed that up now, so all is well again.

Really good work out last night - I'm getting more consistent with my times - I'm going to get myself to the point that I can jog for the whole 5k and then try speeding up - only once I know I can consistently do the whole distance. Not proud of how unfit I am - but I'm determined to be able to do it.

So, hopefully back in the gym again tonight - feeling quite weak in my legs though - so not planning on doing too much. Don't want to overdo it. Although I was in such an improved mood once I got home last night. Am actually thinking about taking a couple of days off to chill out and relax - and for the first time in about my whole life, I'm including a work out in that relaxation! Maybe it's sinking in!
