I am getting into bodybuilding. I am not trying to compete. I just want to change my body image a little. I stayed skinny my whole live until the late 20's hit. Then I was skinny everywhere but my gut. I've been working out for about 3 years now and I am taking it more and more seriously. I am now using fatsecret to track my diet for my first cut.(fat loss for muscle definition)

Weekly. If you are starting or increasing exercise, don't pay pay attention to fluctuations or gains. You will build muscle faster that you burn fat, and muscle weighs more. BUT, once you have more muscle your body burns more fat even at rest.
If you are only dieting that mean number on the scale means alot more.
