Well, I didn't wake up and exercise this morning like I have for the past three days. Instead, I slept in. I have to say that the extra sleep was nice. But now, I am feeling guilty for not exercising this morning. So I am planning on trying to walk on the treadmill tonight after work if I can. I actually perfer waking up in the morning and getting my exercise done before my work day starts, so that way I don't have time to come up with a million excuses to not exercise in the afternoons. But today I will make an exception and try not to think negative thoughts on my way home from work and make an attempt to walk in the door and go straight to exercise and not sit down.

Here is a great quote I saw on someone's FS journal and it really inspired me to keep going and I thought I would share it with my buddies. "The difference between the impossible and the possible lies in a person's determination".

This week my goals are to:
1. Begin to exercise.
2. Continue to watch what I eat and how much I eat.
3. Continue to drink water throughout the day.
4. Think positive thoughts.

So far today, I have accomplished all of my goals. I woke up this morning at 5:30 am to walk on the treadmill (1% incline for 15 minutes at a 3.0) and do the eliptical (55-60 average RPM for 10 minutes). I packed a healthly lunch and snacks for my work day and eat a healthy breakfast so far (When I plan my meals, I like to have five 300 calorie meals a day). I also pack two 20 oz water bottles to go with me to work. I also drink water with breakfast and dinner at home. And as for positive thoughts, my outlook on my new healthier lifestyle when I woke up this morning told me that I am doing the right thing by getting healthy and fit. So far so good! :)

I’m looking for people who would like to join my challenge, “12 Week Walk Program”. This challenge is for beginners who want to increase their strength and endurance through walking.
This 12 Week Walk Program is based from the book “The Beginning Runner’s Handbook” by Ian MacNeill & the Sports Medicine Council of British Columbia.

I just started my diet last week and I am a beginner to any exercise program and I would like to find a few people and buddies to join me on this journey. The 12 Week Walk Program is a challenge that is designed for people who haven’t lived an active lifestyle in the past and want to make that change into a beginners exercise program.

The 12 Week Walk Program is a step-by-step method with three sessions per week. Each session is specifically outlined with a particular activity and duration. For example:
Week 1: Session # 2 = Walk for 15 minutes at a moderate, normal pace. This program is like having a walking coach in your back pocket. So in closing, I am looking for a few good beginners who would like to join me on this journey on living a more active lifestyle. If this 12 Week Walk Program interests you, please join the challenge.
