Great start! Mostly water weight, but I am still excited about it.

Today is day 6 in my weight loss journey. I started my new diet on August 5th. The first week of dieting is always one of the hardest weeks for me. As a result of the decrease in my calorie intake and no caffine, my head has hurt for the past few days. But I found a saying that inspires me to keep going and that I am making the right choice when I choose to eat healtier. It is, “I wake up every day with the realization that this is it, that there's only one shot at this life and I can either enjoy the ride and live it to its fullest and to my highest potential or I can stay the way I am”. So today, I choose to live by this quote and hope that everyday I can try my hardest to acheive my weight loss goals and live a healthier lifestyle.

Day 3 is all about my mental state. I am still suffering from a caffeine withdrawl headache, but I am still staying away from my one true love, Coke. I need to work on changing my attitude from thinking that the word 'diet' is a negative word and hard to acheive. In order to become healthy and become successful in my weight loss journey, the word 'diet' needs to become a more positive meanining for me. I know this will come over time and I am just beginning this journey, but I want eating healthy foods and exercising to become second nature to me faster. I heard that it takes 21 days for a activity to become a habit (I don't know if that is true or not). But hopefully after 3 or 4 weeks of changing my unhealthy ways will set my mind straight on the path to success.

Day 2 is all about getting over this caffeine headache. Now that I am serious about dieting, I am going to stop drinking Coke and get off of caffeine in general. It is time for me to get back on track and do this to not only get healthier but also to move forward with my life.
