I am 22 years old, currently weighing in at 186 pounds, and am wanting to lose about 50 pounds for my upcoming wedding. I am engaged to the love of my life and best friend Joe, we are planning on an October 2011 wedding. I have battled with my weight since about fifth or sixth grade and am beyond sick and tired of being overweight and feeling ashamed for allowing myself to live this way without doing anything about it. Years ago I battled with anorexia and dropped down to my thinest weight of 142 pounds, but since graduating high school I have gained back forty plus pounds and am utterly disgusted with myself. So this year I have decided to stop wishing I was thin, and actually do something about it! I have finally got the nerve to join a gym and was pleasantly suprised to find it wasn't as awkward as I was expecting it to be. I actually felt comfortable being there, which will make it much easier for me to stay on track and keep going to achieve my goal once and for all.
