Pepper is a dieter's friend! Ever notice how extremely flavorful food helps you feel satisfied sooner? Personally, I've started putting pepper on foods that I tend to over eat on, like Mac and Cheese, and the strong flavor definately helps me feel satisfied after eating my portion. Plus, some studies show that black and cayenne pepper actually boot metabolism after eating :D

So I caught a cold and totally fell off the wagon. I indulged in all sorts of bad things, refined carbs, fried food, ice cream, alcohol. It was terribley delicious and guilty feeling. I also totally slacked off on exercising. However, I somehow managed to lose a pound and made my goal weight of 194 today! I ordered some size 14 pants and they came in yesterday. I tried them on thinking I wouldn't even be able to button them but they fit! I was thrilled! Then today I step on the scale and I still managed to drop some weight. Talk about jump starting your diet recovery! I feel extremely motivated and am determined to get back on track starting now.
Mini Goals completed:
- Go from size 16 to size 14 pants
- Reach 194 by 7/23/10

- Fit comfortablely (no muffin top) in size 14 pant
- Reach 190 by 8/6/10

Ok, so I cheated, my love affair with the scale prevailed and I weighed myself this morning to find that I had actually lost some weight since yesterday. I had been chugging water all day yesterday which must have helped me drop some bloating salt/water weight and I'm down to 196.6. My goal is going to change, I want to be 194 by next friday, a weight loss of 2 pounds in a week. I think that's pretty reasonable since I'm still toward the beginning of my weight loss journey and I've read several times that you tend to lose weight more easily at the start of you overall weight loss. So 194 it is!
