Hi, I have been using Fatsecret on and off for years and I am currently back at it. Just turned 40, and got a little flabby, and I began to get serious at just over a month ago (beginning of April).

When I am in exercise mode my exercise of choice is certainly running. I am working on doing some races this summer (2016) and getting my dog to be able to run 5k with me. I work in an office and sit at a computer most days, so it is important for me to get walks in during my workday, and try to exercise in the evening.

The last time I was successful using Fatsecret, I lost around 30lbs, tracking my food and running. It is my goal to get back down to a leaner, fitter version of myself again. Wish me luck!

Go to the dollar store and buy measuring cups and spoons. Eat portions and track. Measure everyhing!

Youtube has great workouts for free. Look up bootcamps or cardio. Start running, its free. Thats why i chose running. Didn't want to spend money on gyms or personal trainers. Walmart has workout dvds for $5.

Fear and guilt driving the need to exercise.
I have been running a minimum of 3 x week 5km a run. Since i started in August i have lost almost 20lbs. The days i do not run i feel guilty, anxious, irritable that other things in my life may conflict or prevent me from running. I have a fear that if i don't run for two days in a row i will step on the scale and have gained 2 pounds. Its irrational i know. Anyone else get this?

Having your "Monthlies" makes you eat more? Fact or fiction?
Pms days i could eat the entire day non-stop. I want bread. Extra self control required. Before monitoring my food i always had 1 day a month where a whole bag of chips with dip would be my dinner. That day just doesn't happen anymore.

If I go over my daily calories, I have been sure to walk at lunch, do the treadmill, or some other form of exercise....1 week tackled with success.
