I'm a victim of the "clean your plate and munchies for boo-boos" I've been heavy if not overweight most of my life. I've never been over 100 lbs of my ideal weight, but have been close. I was diagnosed with Pseudo Tumor Cerebri (excess fluid on the brain) about 6 years ago. The most common people who get it are female and overweight. The easiest treatment is weight loss (way to easy).I'm now 41 and tired of being tired, sick, and lazy. After doing my first 11 mile hiking peak the spring of 2009 with the local Jr High kids, I have been reborn. I wasn't going to let the mountain beat me then, and I'm not going to let my past habits beat me now. I have 80 pounds to loss, and no one is going to stop me.

Whats the best substitute adiction to a food addict?
Being a lifetime "emotional eater", I can truly feel for you. We are brought up as food being the solution to every issue. We are given a cookie when we fall down and skin our knees. We are given ice cream when we get a good grade in school. We are brought up to associate food with the good and the bad. I've taken up doing house work instead of taking a bit. I've got the cleanest house in the neighborhood. The big thing is you have to find something else to replace your eating. Put a picture of yourself on the fridge, so you can see who you are doing this for. Because if you aren't doing it for yourself, your health, then you will fail in the end. You are the reason!

I wanna lose but hubby wants to gain....what to cook?
In terms of making the fresh fruit and vegies last longer. Well, I do utilize frozen when they are not available. There are special green bags, usually around the produce isle. These seem to help them last longer.

I wanna lose but hubby wants to gain....what to cook?
For the last month and a half I have taken the extra time to plan out meals. Made a few more health conscious tweeks to some timesaving recipes. I only go shopping once every 2 weeks for 5 people, and we are actually eating better than we have in years. The family is actually liking it, so we are in this together. I use WWW.grocerysmarts.com religiously now, and price matching at WalMart. I'm getting about $400 worth of groceries for $200. We only now go to the store once or twice a week for the bare neccessities (milk, bread). Hopefully my practice in making my own wheat bread will even eliminate having to get that.
