gaining 0.8 lb a week
I’m a 24 year old graduate. My sister joined this site first and was doing so well that I decided to join. I’ve always been on the pudgy side of things. I’ve slowly been adding the weight on, for instance 10 lbs in 2 years. The only time I eased away from ‘pudgy’ was when I discovered I liked jogging and running 5-12k races in high school and then college. I dropped about 15-20 pounds working 30 hrs a week, going to school full-time and jogging at night. I was doing good, until a comment by my stepdad got me worrying about how much I was losing and how quickly so I stopped, then a subsequent breakup of my boyfriend spiraled my down into ‘pudgy’ and beyond.
So I’ve been interested in nutrition and fitness for many years. I like the science behind it all, I’ve just never really followed any of it since my early days in college. I like working out, it’s just I’ve been lazy, and I like a lot of foods that are good for me but I tend to over eat and then snack often. Also I’m from a Southern family and yes we fry a lot of the time, and it’s hard to get past what my mother calls ‘snackages’ at night, but I am. I don’t know how long it will take but I will be fit and I will run races, and I will look great doing it.
It’s been over a year now since I started this weight loss journey and now I’m back with the full intension of completing it. I want to hit my goal by the New Year. That’s about 16lbs in 12 weeks. Here’s hoping…
