I am a woman "of a certain age" who is trying to lose weight for my health (I have arthritis in my knee and the extra pounds are causing problems) and also so when I go to Las Vegas - a place I love dearly and visit as often as I can- I won't feel so self conscious and tubby and have more energy and fun.

Desk Work
Hi All!

I am an administrative assistant and spend most days chained to my desk typing and shuffling papers.

I have included Desk Work when I record my daily exercises. Does it really burn calories like it says it does? I certainly wouldn't rely on it as a major source of exercise but I'm curious how something so sedentary can burn calories like that. Any thoughts?

Hi Everyone - I'm new here and just want to say hello. I'm hoping to lose about 30-40 lbs and after that keep it off (sound familiar?). I've done a lot of yo-yo weight gain and loss lately and feel that it's time to make a permanent change.
