I'm Kelly. Married, mom to a fantastic kiddo who just graduated college and wife to a great guy who is also in the Army. Been struggling with this weight thing all my life. Hope to find some like minded gals/guys on here who can help keep me on the straight and narrow and get this weight off for keeps. I've managed to lose 140 lbs from my known all-time high over the last few years, some of it following RNY Gastric Bypass surgery in June 2008. I've regained some, unfortunately. :/ Looking to get the scale moving in the right direction again!

ATKINS
Great to hear! How long have you been doing it? I've been worried because I'm in induction but have gone over my net carbs by about 6-10 each night the last couple of nights. I'm sitting at 30 net g. of carbs right now. Hope that doesn't goof me up too bad, but wow, it's hard to keep those carbs under 20 g per day! Congrats on your great loss!

HTC Eris Droid
The barcode scanner on this app is awesome! When I installed it on my new Eris the other day, it was the first app to pop up when I selected the "Health" section of the apps. Hope you find it and can get it installed, it's so handy! I doubt I'll ever use a paper journal ever again thanks to this! It's just called "Calorie Counter by Fatsecret" and has the little yellow scale with footprints as an icon. I'm running software version 1.17.605.1, Firmware version 1.5. Not sure if that helps any.

FUN Exercise (to me is contradictory)
I also love my Wii Fit Plus! It's great to be challenging yourself to something on there like the Hula Hoop Plus game, and be getting a workout without realizing it! But you do feel it, that's for certain. I think it's a great way to motivate me to get off the couch and do something. You can set a goal for yourself as well, such as burning the equivalent of a chocolate bar every day (455 calories, if you're curious - that's my daily goal Smile) and it'll keep track of all that you do for you, whether it's right there on the Wii itself or logging in what's called Fit Credits (some activity/workout/exercise you do that's not on the Wii.) It teaches you balance and coordination, and when you do your weigh in each day, it will test your balance and tell you what your Wii Fit age is. Whenever it comes back with an age that's less than what I really am (41) I feel very proud. When it tells me I'm older than that, I get ticked. LOL But determined, too. The trick is finding the exercise(s) that work for you - the ones you know you like to do and won't get bored with. Just remember to mix it up a little bit (the Wii Fit Plus lets you do just that) so that all your muscles are being worked, not just the same few each time you do one certain type of exercise and nothing else. If you have a friend or family member who has a Wii Fit Plus that you can try out before you buy, I highly recommend that. And have fun! Smile
