I'm now in my early 50's and the weight has been slowly creeping since my 30's. I'm determined to get back to where I was 10 years ago, but gradually and without too much angst.
I'm currently trying the 5:2 Intermittent Fasting program and hoping to lose 2lbs a month until my birthday next March.
I've dieted, and then gained again, all my adult live and I know the calorie count of just about every food imaginable, so another of my aims is to listen to my body, stop worrying so much about food, and enjoy it a whole lot more.
