I'm having to switch my diet around completely.
Doctor appointment on Thurs 3/1/2018 to read my blood test results. And even though in the past, a total cholesterol/HDL ratio of 2.7 was considered good. Now it's considered borderline diabetic.
My total cholesterol was tested as 241, with HDL of 90, and LDL of 141, triglycerides 52.
Blood glucose is high at 114.
That and too much protein and B12 in urine test, so doctor thinks I need to cut out Spirulina (affects B12 absorption), and so much protein, remove all animal protein.
Since the last visit 2 weeks ago I've cut out dairy, which can cause the mild arthritis in my hands.
I was expecting a better result. He's saying I might have permanently damaged my kidneys.
150.0 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

I don't understand. I thought your diet was exceptionnally well maintained, judging by the stability of your weight. is he saying that all the animal protein you've been having may have damaged your kidneys?

Yes, especially since I started eating so many protein bars, 20g to up to 35 grams in each. I've been lifting weights since 1984, body building, racquetball, running, walking, tapering off on all that to the point that I could do the minimum: bicycle riding, and calisthenics, but still kept up on high protein, including chicken breast, turkey breast, salmon, vegan protein powder, dairy protein powder. And noticed recently, about the last year, that I needed to drink a LOT of water. I tend to go overboard on whatever I do. Now I'm switching back to being a vegan, which I had been for 9 years prior to 1984. cutting protein to almost half also. :) He did say that kidneys don't regenerate, so it's a very good thing I found out, hoping it's not too late. :)
