Sibby, I have no doubts that exercise definitely builds muscle as when I was only doing a little bit of exercise, the following day I would always weigh heavier, which put me off initially... as I didn't want to think I was gaining weight! I wonder if you should try adding activity points... as it could be that especially for the days you eat under points your body thinks it's not getting enough food. I know I need to look at my own points now I've added some regular exercise... but I've certainly eaten loads more than previously this week, exercised for 3.5 hours (don't faint!!) and still lost. So you could try increasing your food a little and see if that does have any effects. Of course you're also close to goal there too and they say it gets harder to bust those llbs don't they. Hopefully someone else will also have some other ideas... but keep doing what you're doing, as you're still doing great. Try measuring yourself too, as I bet even though the scales aren't budging much you are still losing inches. Hope you're having a great day and keep up the great work! Hugs. xx

You must be adding muscle since you are working so hard. Are your clothes more loose? And it is harder to lose when you're so close to your goal weight. I wish I could help you more, but all I can say is hang in there and it will eventually come off! Hugs to you!!

Take out 2 sticks of butter and sit them on the counter... you lost 1/2 a pound... TWO STICKS OF BUTTER!! That's not a plateau just yet!! lol ;) I know it's not a pound or two, but it's progress and that counts!! You are doing just fine and the last few pounds come of slower and harder than the rest. I remember the first few times I lost weight and it's killer getting the last few off... but be patient and remember that we're all here for ya!! :) LOVIN' that CHART!! Pump the water, watch the sodium, look over the amount and types of fat you've eaten and CHIN UP.. and move on! :) BURN RUBBER BABY!! You're really doing GREAT!! :)

Don't be disheartened - you're so nearly there! I have no doubt at all that exercise increases muscle density and that weighs more. When I went to the gym 3 times a week I actually put lbs ON - although my body shape did change considerably for the better.... Definately add in your activity points though, I do that even if I've been for a walk round the park! lol Don't worry though - you WILL get there!!!

You lost half a pound, that is amazing. Exercise causes the fibers in the muscle to tear and it uses water to repair them. This causes a temporary weight gain. Make sure you eat all your daily points ever day. Your body needs the fuel (especially when exercising). If you don't give it the fuel it needs, it may think it's starving and hold on to whatever it can (resulting in no weight loss). You are doing great! Just keep going and be patient.

Hi! Those last 5 or 6 lbs are a killer!!!! I KNOW b/c I"M there too!! Just keep going!!! Don't let up, the plateau will end!! We can kick it's butt!!! I just started taking calcium pyruvate, it is a natural supplement for metabolism, heard about it from anthemgirl's fatsecret, she says her doc gave her the tip. I haven't noticed yet, but it's only been 2 days, no sideeffects that I've noticed, if you're interested, check it out, ask your doc, etc etc!! Good Luck no matter what!!!!

Hey Sibby! You should be proud of yourself! You are down this week, and that says you are working! Muscle does weigh more than fat, your clothes should be fitting awesome! I know I sure would take some scarey muscle right about now ahhahah! Keep up that hard work, it is and will keep paying off!

IMO it is the muscle gain. They do have body fat percent scales. I don't know how accurate they are. I had mine tested at the gym and I went down 17% body fat in 3 months but only lost 5% of my weight so I know I gained muscle. Keep that in mind. The important thing is that you look and feel great.
