I pretty much went off the deep end this week. My depression hit me hard and I dealt with it the way I always do. I eat. I really am surprised I didn't gain more. I'm pretty sure it's all related to menopause so I just need to try and stay strong and find other ways to deal with the depression.

It's a new week and I'm going to do my best to get back to eating better and getting in my exercise. This will pass.

Stay strong everyone and have a great week!

Yes, menopause is when I gained the most weight about 12 years ago - but it motivated me to change! I used medicine for about one year during menopause and it really did help me through the depressed phase.

I use medicine and meditation. There are great guided meditations on YouTube and on many meditation apps for the smart phones that will talk you through sessions.🤷🏻‍♀️

Tomorrow is another day. You will do better. When I'm depressed or bored I eat too much too.

Since the holidays, I've gained back about 8 pounds, waffling between eating low-carb one day, then backsliding into eating all the carbs the next. But this morning I made a firm commitment to myself to get back into ketosis over these next three days, and get to Memorial Day eating LCHF all the way. But I'm starting with just the small goal of making it to the end of Wednesday and getting into ketosis. Keep your eye on the prize! Baby steps will get you there, and if you keep having to start over, that's ok too. Remember, when you're going through hell, just keep going!
