I am excited because I have made a promise to myself to change my life style and watch my calories and only allow myself 1200 calories a day, and to begin excercising by, walking and toning excercises. My first short term goal is to lose 20 pounds by August 1, 2012, that is three months! I will try to focus on this goal until I succeed, and then I will set more.

Great for you - welcome to FS. It has helped me immensely to have the great information at hand. Be sure to eat enough protein because it helps you stay satisfied longer, watch your fat percentage and drink lots of water! You will be svelte and slim by August!
